Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a piano to start lessons?
Ideally yes! In order to get the most out of your lessons from the very beginning, I highly recommend purchasing one before you start. If you need assistance in finding a good practice instrument, I'm happy to help!
What age do you teach?
What happens after a trial lesson?
After we have our trial lesson, I will recommend book materials that we will use for continuous lessons, discuss your future goals with taking lessons, and find a lesson schedule that works best for both of us. I also answer any questions you may have.
I teach students age 5.5 and up.
Can I still look around for a teacher even after our trial lesson?
Of course! It's important to find the right fit in personality and teaching style that works for you. I encourage "teacher shopping" and just let me know if this is what you need prior to moving forward!
I'm too old for lessons. Is there still hope for me in learning the piano?
Yes! You are never too old to learn, as long as you have the strong motivation to take lessons and of course have a piano at home to practice on.
